Introduction
The Global Fund Settings section lets you configure essential details for your fund, including leadership structure, payout timing, reporting dates, and investor documentation. These settings play a critical role in how the fund operates, ensuring consistency, transparency, and compliance.
Navigation to This Section
From the main dashboard, click the dollar sign/star icon on the left to select a fund.
Click Settings in the top-right corner.
In the left-hand panel, scroll to or click Global Fund Settings.
Tip: If you cannot access Global Fund Settings, ensure you have the necessary permissions or check with your administrator.

Content Creation
Field | Description |
Fund Name | Enter the name of the fund. This will appear on all associated documents and reports. |
Leadership Type | Choose between President and Secretary or Director. This selection controls which signature fields are displayed. |
President / Secretary / Director | Enter the names of applicable signatories. These fields appear based on the selected Leadership Type. Each includes a Use Digital Signature option for applying a pre-uploaded signature. |
Share Label | Select either Shares or Units to define ownership terminology on reports and certificates. |
Payout | Specify the day of the month (e.g., 10) for distributing funds to investors. |
Investor BDM | Assign a Business Development Manager by clicking the Edit button. The user must have the correct role assigned. |
Year End | Select the final month of the fiscal year. This affects financial reporting and can be adjusted in Global Fund Settings. |
Quarterly Statement Date | Choose between Quarter End or Dividend Distribution Date to determine the statement date shown on quarterly investor statements. |
Fund Revenue Recognition | Define how the fund recognizes revenue:
Cash Basis: Recognized when received. Accrual Basis: Recognized when earned. |
IMPORTANT: Once transactions have been added and the period has advanced, some fund settings may be locked. Review carefully before finalizing.
Default Expenses
Default expenses allow you to pre-fill recurring charges that automatically populate in the Fund Ledger, ensuring consistency and minimizing manual entry.
Field | Description |
Expense Name | Name of the recurring expense. |
Amount | Dollar amount for the expense. |
Frequency | Select how often the expense recurs: Monthly, Quarterly, Semi-Annually, or Annually. |
First Charge Date | Date the first charge is applied. |
Process/Documents
This section defines how investor commitments, trade confirmations, and statement generation are handled when funds are added. These settings help standardize investor workflows, support compliance, and maintain accurate records.
Setting | Description |
Enable Investor Commitment Prior To Deposit | Requires investors to formally commit funds before deposits are accepted. |
New Commitments Overwrite Prior Commitments | Ensures the most recent commitment replaces any previous value for the same investor. |
Enable Fund Generated Trade Confirmations | Automatically generates trade confirmations when funds are deposited. |
Issue Fund Statements Per Investor Account | Creates individualized fund statements for each investor account. |

What does enabling investor commitments do?
It requires investors to sign a subscription agreement before depositing capital.
Why canโt I see the Director field?
The Director field only appears if the Leadership Type is set to Director.
