Introduction
This article explains how to submit and manage AFX Title Search requests from a loan's Main Property or Other Properties section. Users can enter order details, monitor progress, and access completed reports directly in the system.
Navigating to This Section
Open a loan from the dashboard.
Scroll to either the Main Property or Other Properties section under Property Details.
Click Title Search to view or submit requests.
Note: If you do not see the Title Search button, it is an additional feature at a cost that must be enabled by our team. This integration is only available to U.S. customers. For assistance, please contact Support or your Customer Success Manager.
Submitting a Title Search from the Property Sections
Follow these steps to submit an AFX Title Search request from either the Main Property or Other Properties section of a loan. The process is identical for both and involves confirming key property fields, starting a new order, and reviewing results.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Access the Loan and Property Section
Open the desired loan from the dashboard.
Navigate to Property Details and choose either Main Property or Other Properties.
Verify Required Property Fields
Confirm that Property Address, Legal Description, Property Type, and Owners fields are completed.
These fields are required to initiate a title search.
Open the Title Search Panel
Click Title Search to launch the panel.
Start a New Title Search Request
In the panel, click Order New Title in the top-right corner.
Fill Out the New Title Request Form
Review auto-filled fields including Property Type, Address, and Owners.
Add any Special Instructions (e.g., lien or zoning checks).
Confirm User Contact or System Contact is correctly selected.
Submit the Request
Click Submit to send your request to AFX.
Your request will now appear in the Requested Orders tab.
Track and Manage Orders
Use the Requested, In Progress, and Completed tabs to monitor order status.
From the panel, you can upload documents, send messages to AFX, or cancel the order if needed.
Access Final Reports
Download completed title reports from the Title Search panel or Required Documents if mapped.
FAQs
Can I edit the property address from the Title Search form?
No. You must return to the loan and update the address in the Property Details section.
Can I change a request after itβs submitted?
No. However, you can communicate updates to AFX using the messaging system in the Title Search Details window.
How do I confirm that AFX received my request?
Once submitted, your request appears in the Requested tab, and status updates display within the Title Search panel.
