Exempt Market Dealers (EMDs) are registered securities dealers who facilitate prospectus-exempt transactions. Enabling this setting allows you to monitor and document their involvement within your loans, ensuring accurate record-keeping and regulatory compliance.

Navigating to This Section

  1. Click the Gear icon in the top-right corner to open Settings.

  2. Select Company Settings.

  3. Use the left-hand navigation menu to expand Loan Setup/Origination.

  4. Locate Stakeholder Setup.

Tip: If your company does not engage EMDs regularly, keeping this feature disabled will help maintain a streamlined interface.

Enabling EMD Tracking

  1. In the Stakeholder Setup section, locate the Exempt Market Dealers setting.

  2. Select Yes to activate EMD tracking.

  3. Once enabled, a dedicated EMD section will be available within loan files for documentation and management.

Reminder: Only enable this feature if your firm regularly works with EMDs. If not, leaving it disabled will simplify the interface and reduce unnecessary data fields.
